Trailblazing Excellence: Meet Francis Elikem, the First Class Honours Graduate and Prolific Author Redefining Success

ABOUT FRANCIS ELIKEM KOSI MAWUSI  WHO BAGGED FIRST CLASS HONORS FROM THE PENTECOST UNIVERSITY, GHANA.

Francis Elikem Kosi Mawusi was born in the Volta Region of Ghana, precisely Kpando Gadza. He started his elementary school at Kpando Gadza Kindergarten, after which he moved to Tema to his father to continue his primary school education at Cornerstone Academy, Tema Community 18, where he was admitted into primary 1 to 2. After a few years, he returned to his mother, Madam Abada Cornelia Abra in Kpando. Since he is enthusiastic with schooling and studies, he had to continue with his primary school from where he left off in Accra, so he enrolled in Kpando Dzoanti RC Primary School to continue from class 5, having skipped primary 3 and 4. In his upper primary at Kpando Dzoanti RC primary school he was the Class Prefect and in class 6, he contested and won school elections as the Assistant School Prefect. He also represented the school in various quiz competitions and he was one of the most brilliant students in the school at the time.

Elikem sat for a common entrance examination at Kpando Gabi L/A JHS and did well to continue his Junior High School from JHS 1 to 3. Through JHS, he took up some leadership roles including Section Leader and also Estate Manager in the year 2011. After his BECE Examination he got an admission into Bishop Herman College, Kpando to read Agricultural Science, where he rose to the position of Day Students Prefect for the 2014 year group.

Francis Elikem Kosi Mawusi moved to Accra to continue his tertiary education, but before that, took some gap years within which he took up some teaching jobs in the following schools to horn his soft skills:

• 2017 Augbart Montessori School - Teacher
• 2016 D-Mega Professional College (S.H.S) - Teaching Assistant
• 2015 Royal Star Academy - Teacher
• 2015 Seek the Word Academy - Teacher 
• 2014 Otumfo Academy - Teacher

Through teaching in these schools, Elikem gathered some money to enroll himself in I.C.T School (Certificate in Software Administration) at D-Mega Professional College, Accra. He later got admitted into the Nursing and Midwifery Training College (NMTC) Korle-Bu, Accra where he read Diploma in Registered General Nursing. In his student days in NMTC Korle-bu, he was considered one of the best students and with an amazing talent of writing poetry and inspirational messages.

He further demonstrated his leadership skills by serving in the following positions:

• Class Representative NMTC Korle Bu, 2017. 
• Student Representative Council, Financial secretary, NMTC Korle Bu, 2018. 
• Student Representative Council, President, NMTC Korle bu, 2019-2020.

He also took part in representing the school in quiz competitions. Elikem has a passion to become a medical doctor, and thus developed strong networks with many excellent medical students on Korle Bu campus. Some of these relationships eventually helped him to master his writing skills under the pen name Elikem_Inspires (Poetry and Inspirational_hub).

Francis Elikem Kosi Mawusi secured a government scholarship to continue his education at the Pentecost University, Ghana. He was the Class Representative for his class and went to become one of the best students, graduating with a First Class Honors in B.SC. Nursing, 2022.

He is a goal-oriented individual and always wants to positively extend his sphere of contact to the less privileged. He is part of a number of excellent, educative and life changing organizations across the country.

Elikem_Inspires collaborated with two lecturers from the Pentecost University, Ghana to author a poem titled "Here Arises The Daniels, Here Arises The Esthers", published by Pentvars and on Peacefmonline.com. He is also the author of a patriotic poem titled "Never Be Broke, Broken Again" which was published by CollegeDeskGH. 

He is also the author of the following books; The Agony Of A Child, The Showers, The Combined Commentary Progressive Poetry, On The Throne Of My Tears. He also has numerous short poems and motivational messages on his social media pages; Instagram, Facebook and on YouTube @ _elikem_inspires.
