Barring any circumstance, the 2021 computer school placement portal cssps.gov.gh by the close of Saturday, March 26, 2022, will be live for students who sat for the last year’s BECE to check their public secondary school placement.
An official of the Ministry of Education (MoE) speaking to EducationWeb early Saturday said plans are far advanced for the placement website to be opened for 2021 BECE graduates to check and print their computer school placement.
Asked the actual time the Computerized School Placement (CSSPS) portal will be opened, he said the placement website currently showing ‘maintenance mode’ in the shortest possible time will be active for the general public.
“We yesterday announced the release of the school placement but as indicated by the Ghana Education Service, the portal will be opened for students and the public from Saturday we urge all students to remain calm,” he said today.
The MoE official further entreated members of the general public particularly students to be wary of fake placement portals and unscrupulous individuals who claim to have access to the placemen system and can change their posting.
In line with the Education Ministry staff, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum has also said the bandwidth of the placement portal https://cssps.gov.gh has been increased to avoid downtime issues when the portal is live and active on March 26, 2022.
Dr Adutwum in a discussion with an Accra-based radio station said the CSSPS portal upgrade forms part of measures put in place by his outfit and the Ghana Education Service (GES) to ensure a smooth school placement this year.
How to check your BECE 2021 school placement
Prospective students are required to obtain a school placement checker E-voucher from an approved vendor before they can proceed to check their school posting on Saturday, March 26, 2022, following the below method;
1. Visit the official computer placement portal cssps.gov.gh
2. Click on check placement
3. Enter your Index number and add 21 as your year of completion (Eg. 123456789021)
4. Enter your placement card details (serial number and pin)
5. Click on submit and wait for a new window to display your placement.
6. Print the form if you have been placed and visit the school to begin the admission process
