The Complete Account On 2022 TTAG-EGA'S 11th UNICOM Quiz And Debate

 ACCRA COLLEGE OF EDUCATION HOSTS TTAG-EGA’S 11TH UNICOM QUIZ AND DEBATE COMPETITION 

On Tuesday, 6th September 2022, the eleventh TTAG-EGA UNICOM Quiz and Debate competition was held at Accra College of Education's auditorium.

The competition saw the presence of the Vice Principal and Faculty from the host and other colleges, Sector Executives, National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) representations, Ex-Officious and various stakeholders. 

The nine(9) colleges in the sector constituting TTAG-EGA were represented. However, The Presbyterian Women's College of Education did not participate, leaving only eight colleges.

The event began with the First round of the Debate competition. All participating colleges rightly defended their sides with respect to the motions. The eight colleges were paired as oppositions to a motion. After the first round of debate, four of the eight colleges qualified for the Semi-Finals. However, the debate ended midway due to misunderstandings between some colleges. 

The Quiz continued following the commotion. Customarily, the quiz competition included Mathematics, Science, English and General Knowledge. 

At the end of a competitive first round, there was a stalemate of 9 points among four(4) colleges which were, Mount Mary COE(MMCE), Kibi Presbyterian COE(KPCE), Abetifi Presbyterian COE and Ada COE(ADACOE). Accra COE (AcCE) followed with 6 points, Methodist COE(METCOE) with 5 points and Presbyterian COE, Akropong(PCE) with 3 points. 

The combativeness was pursued till the final round.

 At the end of the competition, Kibi Presbyterian COE (KPCE) made a clean sweep among the seven other colleges and was crowned winner of the 11th TTAG-EGA Unicom Quiz competition.
