Accra, Ghana — The National Teaching Council (NTC) has officially opened the registration portal for the 2025 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE). The portal welcomes both fresh candidates and resit candidates to register and prepare for the upcoming exams aimed at licensing qualified teachers across the country.

🧾 Quick Guide to Registration

There are two categories of applicants for the GTLE:

Fresh Candidates: Those writing the exams for the first time.
Resit Candidates: Those retaking one or more papers.

🔄 For Resit Candidates:

If you're resitting one or more papers, follow these steps using the Mobile Money (MoMo) option:

Dial *772*51# on your mobile phone.
Select the appropriate resit option depending on the number of papers.
You’ll receive a PIN and Serial Number from Prudential Bank via SMS.

Head to the NTC registration portal and complete your registration: 👉 https://exams.ntc.gov.gh/

🆕 For Fresh Candidates:

Before attempting to register, ensure that NTC has indexed your information. Follow the steps below:

✅ Step 1: Confirm Your Indexing Status

Visit https://indexing.ntc.gov.gh/
Navigate to "Confirmation Status"
Enter your College Index Number and verify your record.
If your details are available, you’ll receive your official Indexing Number (initials + digits).

✅ Step 2: Make Payment via MoMo

Dial *772*51#
Select Indexing and follow the prompt
Enter the authorization PIN and confirm payment.
Wait for an SMS from Prudential Bank with your PIN and Serial Number.

✅ Step 3: Proceed with Fresh Candidate Registration

Dial *772*51# again
Select Fresh Candidate
Complete your payment and proceed to the NTC portal to register: 👉 https://exams.ntc.gov.gh/
