The Tertiary Students Confederation of NPP (TESCON) Accra College of Education Chapter held their highly anticipated 2023 handing-over and swearing-in ceremony on 17th February 2023, and it was a resounding success. The ceremony was held under the theme "The citizens must know how to empower TESCON-AcCE to break the eight."
The turnout for the ceremony was impressive, with a host of distinguished guests in attendance, including Hon. Lydia Seyram Alhasan, Hon. Sandra Owusu Aminkora, Hon. Jennifer Dede Adjabeng, Isaac Jay Hyde, Asiedu Kokuro, Hon. Osman Iddrisu, and the Patron of TESCON-AcCE, Mr. Douglas Quansah.
The event was graced with an electrifying atmosphere, and the outgoing executives were praised for their outstanding service during their tenure. The incoming executives were also introduced to the gathering, and their appointment was met with cheers and applause.
The newly elected executives include Emmanuel Owusu Kyamekye as President, Richmond Adu Asante as Vice President, Seth Boateng Junior as General Secretary, Ivan Azamachi Moses as Deputy Secretary, Bismark Frimpong Asante as Organizer, Vida Amoakowaa as Treasurer, Sumaila Seidu Moro as Nasara Coordinator, Regina Larkwei Ababio as Women's Commissioner, and Godwin Deveer Nii as Communication Officer.
The keynote address was given by Prince Sadat, who emphasized the importance of youth participation in governance and urged the newly elected executives to serve with diligence, commitment, and accountability. The other special guests also gave inspiring speeches, encouraging the newly elected executives to focus on achieving the objectives of TESCON-AcCE come the 2024 General Elections.
The event was marked by a colourful display of music and dance. The gathering was also treated to sumptuous refreshments, which were enjoyed by all.
In conclusion, the 2023 handing-over and swearing-in ceremony of TESCON-AcCE was a tremendous success. The newly elected executives are mandated to continue their predecessors' excellent work and work towards the common goal of breaking the eight. The ceremony was a fitting tribute to the democratic ideals of TESCON-AcCE, and a testament to youth involvement's power in preparation for the 2024 General Elections..
