Accra College of Education is abuzz with excitement as the Student Representative Council (SRC) elections draw near. Among the candidates vying for various positions, one name stands out as the unopposed contender for the position of Cafeteria Commissioner - Hopeson Tsawodzi.
Hopeson Tsawodzi, also known as Christ Hopeson Dela, has captured the attention and admiration of his fellow students with his remarkable journey and dedication to his education. Born on October 6th, 1996, in Bakpa-Gafatsikope, a suburb near Akatsi in the Volta region of Ghana, Hopeson is the seventh child of his parents, Madam Margaret Yawo Agozi and Mr Michael Kwadzo Tsawodzi. Growing up with six older siblings, Hopeson has been influenced by his family and their support throughout his life.
His educational journey started at Bakpa-Gafatsikope M/A Basic School, where his leadership skills and academic prowess began to shine. Hopeson served as the school prefect in both primary six and junior high school, leaving an indelible mark on his alma mater. In 2011, he was selected as one of the brilliant students to attend a workshop focused on Science, Mathematics, Innovation, Evolution, and Technology, further highlighting his academic potential.
Following his completion of the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), Hopeson moved to Adidome Roman Catholic Basic School, where he served as the compound overseer and successfully wrote his BECE. His dedication to education led him to Akatsi Senior High Technical School, where he pursued General Science and became a member of the national science and maths quiz club. In 2019, he completed his secondary education and ventured to Accra to both work and further his tertiary education.

Juggling work and studies, Hopeson embarked on his tertiary education journey in 2021 at Accra College of Education, situated in Ghana's capital city. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Education degree with a focus on Science and ICT, he aspires to become a teacher and positively impact the lives of future generations. Hopeson's resilience and determination have been evident throughout his academic career, as he has selflessly taken on the responsibilities of being a father while pursuing his dreams.
As an unopposed candidate for the position of Cafeteria Commissioner in the 2023 SRC Elections, Hopeson Tsawodzi has already won the hearts of many students. His undeniable passion for his role is matched by his desire to improve the overall dining experience on campus. If elected, he promises to create an environment where students can enjoy nutritious meals, providing a vital aspect of campus life that contributes to their overall well-being.
