Madam Doris Akosua Aku Honored on her 60th Birthday and Retirement Celebration

In a heartwarming and nostalgic event held on July 28, 2023, Madam Doris Akosua Aku, the first headmistress of Accra College of Education Demonstration school, was celebrated on her 60th birthday and retirement send-off party.

 The occasion was graced by lecturers, the vice principal, Mrs. Juliana Dontoh, invited guests, former students from Mawuli Senior High School, family, friends, and the Energetic Atraco Dancers from the Demonstration school.

During her speech, Madam Akosua Aku passionately declared that "being a teacher is the noblest profession," echoing her deep commitment to education and her enduring love for her profession. Looking back at her remarkable journey, she proudly shared her six-year tenure as the headmistress of Accra College Demonstration school and the fond memories she created during that time.

One intriguing aspect of her story was the interview process that led her to become the Head teacher of Accra College Demonstration school. She revealed that nine candidates vied for the position, and against all odds, she emerged victorious. She attributed her miraculous success to the prayers of a student named Emmanuella, who fervently prayed for her during the interview process.

As the event unfolded, there was an unmistakable sense of admiration and respect from everyone present, as they celebrated the incredible impact Madam Akosua Aku had on their lives.
