The Methodist Church Ghana- Kaneshie North Circuit Girls' Fellowship  organized a local dish cooking competition among 6 societies on 26th August 2023 at Good Shepherd Methodist Church.

The Kaneshie North Circuit MGF orchestrated a delightful local dish cooking contest that brought together a dynamic group of girls. In a heartwarming display of skill, each participating society emerged as a winner, fostering a strong sense of togetherness and affection among the girls. Under the banner of "Living Pure for Christ," the MGF's message resonated powerfully.


The event saw an exciting culinary showdown, featuring an array of mouthwatering dishes from different societies. 

The Good Shepherd Methodist Church Society impressed with their Ampesi and Kontomire stew, 

GOOD SHEPHERD SOCIETY 

while Tesano Society delighted with Fufu paired with a light chicken soup. 

TESANO SOCIETY 

The Good News Society showcased their flavor expertise with Omo tuo accompanied by savory groundnut soup, 

GOODNEWS SOCIETY 

and the Class Peter Society stood out with Banku complemented by Tilapia and a vibrant green sauce. 

CLASS PETER SOCIETY 

The Dunwell Society's Tuo Zafi, coupled with Ayoyo and meat stew, left taste buds tingling,

DUNWELL SOCIETY 

 and the T.W Koomson Society presented a comforting Konkonte alongside flavorful groundnut soup. 


T.W. KOOMSON SOCIETY 

Miss Sarafina's special Sobolo and Aunty Yayra's inviting Jollof rice and egg rounded off the culinary feast.



The panel of judges, including Sister Edith Mills, Sister Joyce Ansah, and Prosper Wise Amegbe, faced a truly delightful challenge in determining the standout dishes. This event was truly a testament to the talents and unity of the girls involved.


Guided by dedicated caretakers, the event was a resounding success. Sister Christina Ezekiella Ferguson Fotwe, Sister Yayra Akuoku-Acheampong, Sister Margaret, Sister Esther Pinkrah, Sister Margaret Amoako, Sister Helen Achiaa Agyeibi, and Sister Rita Forson, all played instrumental roles in ensuring the smooth running of the event.


Notably, GSMC events was on hand to capture the vibrant moments through their lens, preserving the memories for all time. The event's pictures captured the enthusiasm, camaraderie, and culinary prowess that made this gathering an unforgettable celebration of unity and talent.


All societies have been recognized for their outstanding contributions and efforts. We are pleased to announce that on the 1st of October, a Certificate of Appreciation ceremony will take place. These certificates, signed by Very Rev. Bennett Ato Wilson and Sister Christina Ezekiella Ferguson Fotwe, stand as a symbol of our gratitude and recognition for your remarkable dedication.


In this spirit of appreciation, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the church, the tireless organizers, the dedicated caretakers, and the discerning judges. Your collective efforts have made this recognition possible, and we couldn't be more grateful.


We also want to take a moment to extend a special thanks to each and every girl who was present during this journey. Your commitment and enthusiasm have not gone unnoticed. In particular, we want to express our deep appreciation to Sister Sarafina and Sister Yayra for the exceptional work they have done.


As we prepare for the upcoming certificate ceremony, let us reflect on the significance of this recognition and the positive impact it has on our societies. Once again, thank you to all involved for your dedication, passion, and hard work. Together, we celebrate the achievements that have shaped our community and inspired us all.
