Accra College of Education Hosts Exciting "MP's Cup" Event

In a thrilling day of sports and camaraderie, Accra College of Education TESCON, in collaboration with the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West, presented the highly anticipated "MP's Cup" event. The college's four residential halls, Gberbie, Ama Hesse, Nii KK, and Henaku, competed fiercely in a range of activities, creating a day to remember.


Football Tournament 

The football tournament kicked off with Gberbie and Ama Hesse facing off, ending in a 1-1 draw, but Gberbie secured victory in the penalty shootout, securing their spot in the finals. 

The second match between Nii KK and Henaku followed a similar pattern, resulting in a penalty shootout victory for Nii KK. 

Henaku later clinched third place in a match against Ama Hesse. In the thrilling final, Nii KK emerged triumphant against Gberbie, winning by a single goal.

Musical Chairs 

Adding a musical twist to the event, the "Musical Chairs" competition saw representatives from the four halls vying for the last seat. 

Ama Hesse was unable to participate, and as the music played, Nii KK's representatives were eliminated, leaving Henaku and Gberbie to battle it out. 


Ultimately, Henaku claimed victory, securing the prized chair.


Spoon Race

The excitement continued with the "Spoon Race," where one female representative from each hall participated. 

Henaku's participant showcased impressive skills, successfully carrying a lime on the spoon from start to finish without dropping it, earning a well-deserved victory.

The participants and winners from all the games were honored in an award ceremony, with Nii KK hall emerging as the overall champions, taking home the coveted "MP's Cup."

The presence of the Member of Parliament, who addressed the student body, added an extra layer of significance to this unforgettable event.

 The "MP's Cup" at Accra College of Education truly showcased the spirit of competition, unity, and sportsmanship among the college's residential halls, making it a day to cherish.
