As the Accra College of Education (AcCE) prepares for its 22nd SRC elections, one name has steadily risen as a beacon of service, dedication, and creativity — Joseph Appiah, popularly known among colleagues as DJ Controller.
A Level 300 student, Joseph is not only known for his academic commitment but also for his dynamic presence in campus life. His multifaceted contributions to student development reflect a leader who embodies resilience, vision, and teamwork — qualities he now seeks to channel as he aspires for the office of SRC Deputy Organising Secretary.
A Student Leader Beyond the Classroom
From his earliest days in Level 100, Joseph demonstrated innovation and drive by launching “DJ Controller AcCE Radio,” a project that provided students with a platform for entertainment and information. Today, he serves as the official DJ for the college, making him a vital presence in school activities and events. His ability to bring energy, coordination, and creativity to gatherings shows his organisational strength — the very skills needed for an effective Deputy Organiser.
Beyond entertainment, Joseph is also a proud member of the handball team, having represented AcCE at the Eastern and Greater Accra (EGA) Games. His participation in sports reflects his discipline, teamwork, and commitment to raising the school’s flag high.
Service to Faith and Community
Joseph’s leadership extends into faith-based service. He serves as the Technical Director for the Apostolic Church, AcCE, and also as the Technical Director for TTAG, specifically for the Eastern and Greater Accra (EGA) Sector. In both roles, he has overseen major programs, ensuring smooth and impactful events. His combination of technical know-how, organisational skill, and leadership experience positions him as someone capable of executing large-scale student initiatives.
Why He is Ready to Organise
Joseph understands that being Deputy Organising Secretary is more than a title — it is a call to coordinate, mobilise, and execute. As a DJ, he has consistently managed sound, atmosphere, and student engagement at school functions, ensuring that events are not only successful but memorable. This experience directly translates into the kind of logistical and organisational ability the SRC needs to thrive.
In his declaration, Joseph stated:
“I am a resolute, dedicated, and passionate young professional man with a committed heart to service. Drawing on my extensive experience and the invaluable insight I have gained from past leadership roles, I aspire to bring resilience and a strategic vision that can propel our student community forward in impactful ways.”
With his motto “Let us organise, not agonise — Show working, K3 k3 K3!”, Joseph emphasises teamwork, results, and leadership grounded in action.
The Clear Choice for Students
Joseph Appiah has already proven that he does not wait for opportunities — he creates them. From sports to music, technical service to faith, his record shows a consistent drive to unite and uplift others. Students who vote for him are choosing a leader who has demonstrated, time and again, that he can organise, deliver, and inspire.
The choice is clear — with Joseph Appiah as Deputy Organising Secretary, AcCE will gain a leader who knows how to plan, how to execute, and how to make every event a success.
