In a recent meeting with the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of Accra College of Education (AcCE), the Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, assured that trainee allowances will be disbursed soon. This confirmation came during a courtesy visit by the SRC, led by H.E. Richmond Adjei, to express their gratitude for the Minister’s participation in the college’s 20th SRC Week Celebration.
Dr. Adutwum informed the delegation that a resolution has been reached regarding the Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) strike, and funds for trainee allowances are ready for distribution. This news brings relief to many students who have been awaiting their allowances.

In addition to the allowance payment, the Minister shared plans to grant autonomy to selected colleges, allowing them to operate independently. This initiative aims to improve the educational system and empower future educators. The SRC expressed their appreciation for the Minister's dedication and continued support for the advancement of education in Ghana
